Affiliate program: how it works

The principle in one sentence

A creator signs up with your link and picks a paid plan: they get 50% off their first two invoices, and each invoice they pay earns you half a month of their plan as credit on your own subscription.

For the referee: 50% off for 2 months

Referred through a referral link, your referee automatically gets:

50% off their first subscription invoice (e.g. €17.50 instead of €35 on Starter).
50% off their second invoice, then the regular price after that.
On yearly: 1 free month on the 1st invoice (pay 9 months, enjoy 12).
No action required: the discount is applied at checkout.

For the referrer: a month of your referee's plan

Each invoice paid by your referee earns you credit, automatically applied to your next invoice:

1st paid invoice → 50% of a month of their plan (e.g. €17.50 for a Starter).
2nd paid invoice → another 50% of a month of their plan: a full month earned.
On yearly: the full month is paid at once when they pay.
Credit accumulates with no cap and is applied to your invoices until used up.

Example: your referee picks Starter (€35/month). They pay €17.50, then €17.50, then €35. You receive €17.50 of credit on their first invoice, then €17.50 on their second — a free Starter month on your subscription. On yearly, they pay €315 instead of €350 and you receive €35 at once.

Best practices & limits

Unique referee: the same account only counts once.
No self-referral: referring your own account is ignored.
Credit, not cash: rewards are discounts on your Slonto subscription.
Revoked if the referee gets refunded or disputes the payment.
Free referrer: credit is stored and applied as soon as you subscribe.
Waitlist: your link also works before you subscribe — every referred creator who subscribes to a paid plan earns you free months, kept until you subscribe.

Frequently asked questions

I referred someone but they are not paying yet.

The referral stays "pending". You are rewarded on your referee's first paid invoice (in full on yearly, split in two on monthly).

How many rewards can I accumulate?

There is no cap: every paid invoice of a referee earns you its credit, visible in your Affiliate page.

I'm on the free plan — is referring worth it?

Yes. Your credit is stored on your account and applied as soon as you move to a paid plan: referring creators prepares your future free months.

What if my referee cancels their subscription?

Rewards tied to already-paid invoices stay earned. Credit is only removed in case of refund or payment dispute.

My credit does not show on the Stripe payment page — is that normal?

Yes. Stripe displays the plan price; your credit is automatically applied at invoicing time (after the free trial). As long as your credit covers your invoices, you are not charged. The amount shown on Stripe does not reflect the deduction, but it is real.

Where can I see my available credit?

In your creator panel, on the Affiliate page: the "Available credit" box shows the remaining amount, automatically applied to your upcoming invoices.

I'm on the waitlist — does my referral link work?

Yes: your waitlist link doubles as an affiliate link. Every creator who signs up with your link and subscribes to a paid plan earns you 1 month of their plan as credit on your own Slonto subscription (paid in 2 instalments on monthly, all at once on annual). Your credit is kept and applied automatically to your invoices as soon as you subscribe. Only a paid subscription triggers the reward — not a plain signup, not the free trial, and not self-referral.
